DeckLink SDI 4K is a compact, SDI-only capture and playback card covering everything from SD up to 4K DCI on a single 6G-SDI connection, with automatic format detection so it adapts to whatever the source is sending. It's a practical fit for edit and playout systems that only need a single high-quality SDI I/O rather than the multi-channel capacity of DeckLink's larger cards.
The card handles 10-bit SD/HD/2K/4K at up to 6Gb/s in 4:2:2 or 3Gb/s in 4:4:4, carries 16 channels of embedded SDI audio (8 on SD), and includes RS-422 deck control plus Tri-Sync/Black Burst reference input for house sync. Built-in real-time colorspace conversion and HD down/up/cross conversion mean mixed-format sources can be normalized on the card itself.
It installs into a PCIe 4-lane Gen2 slot (compatible with 4, 8 and 16-lane slots) and draws just 11W, making it a low-footprint way to add a single reliable SDI channel to a workstation.
